It is the weight of the machine. The weight of the air conditioner could be an issue in case you would require the machine to be removed for repair / maintenance. Generally greater the cooling capacity, higher is the weight of the air conditioner. You must ensure that your window frame is able to take the load of the airconditioner or you may have to provide it with some reinforcement from the wall outside. Nowadays, aluminium frames are generally used to hold the airconditioner as aluminium is strong and light and does not add much weight to the wall of the building.
