The Acer P244W is making a mark at Computex Taipei for supporting true 1080p content playback
Jun 05, 2008
Acer has unveiled Acer P244W, the world's first 24-inch Full High Definition (FHD), widescreen, LCD monitor at the Computex Taipei. Being FHD, it has a 1080p resolution and 16:9 ratio.

Acer P244W supports real 1080p content playback, pixel by pixel, without loss of image quality. Its target users include gamers, designers and home-theatre enthusiasts. Also, it supports a contrast ratio up to 20,000:1. A rapid response time of up to 2 ms gray-to-gray permits immersive graphics and video display, in Acer P244W.

It carries a striking, shiny black bezel with a polished black base and gleaming silver arm. Its touch-sensitive OSD (onscreen display) lends it a clean, streamlined look.
